Happy New Year

He leads us on by paths we did not know;
Upward He leads us, though our steps be slow,
Though oft we faint and falter on the way,
Though storms and darkness oft obscure the day;
Yet when the clouds are gone,
We know He leads us on.

He leads us on through all the unquiet years;
Past all our dreamland hopes and doubts and fears,
He guides our steps, through all the tangled maze
Of losses, sorrows, and o'erclouded days;
We know His will is done;
And still He leads us on.

--N. L. Zinzendorf.

Have you come to the Red Sea place in your life,
Where, in spite of all you can do,
There is no way out, there is no way back,
There is no other way but through?
Then wait on the Lord with a trust serene
Till the night of your fear is gone;
He will send the wind,
He will heap the floods,
When He says to your soul, "Go on."
And His hand will lead you through—clear through--
Ere the watery walls roll down,
No foe can reach you, no wave can touch,
No mightiest sea can drown;
The tossing billows may rear their crests,
Their foam at your feet may break,
But over their bed you shall walk dry shod
In the path that your Lord will make.
In the morning watch, 'beneath the lifted cloud,
You shall see but the Lord alone,
When He leads you on from the place of the sea
To a land that you have not known;
And your fears shall pass as your foes have passed,
You shall be no more afraid;
You shall sing His praise in a better place,
A place that His hand has made.

Rings

When I was about 9 or 10 my dad took a silver quarter and drilled and hammered it into a ring. My mom has had it ever since.
Well we have been trying to find rings for our three little girls so that they can practice wearing rings all the time, great idea other then unless you buy spendy rings you can't find any of the right size, well I should say we could not find any. So we decided to make them rings out of silver coins. The first one we tried we did a silver dollar, because we could not remember for sure if it was a dollar or a quarter that moms was made out of. Well it was very pretty but it was way, way to big. So then we did a quarter and it was just right. You can make it wide and the little girls size or thinner and my size.
Any way here are pictures of the silver dollar ring and the quarter ring. Right now I do not have a picture of the little girl ring we got done but I will post it in the next couple days.

Note: Picture credits go's to Isaiah.

Silver Dollar

This is what it looks like right now, we realized that it was to big for any one so we did not finish it, we might finish just to have it, but not for any one to wear.
